Bandy World Championship, precisely Group A, had a day-off on Tuesday. To be more precise the day-off was for the fans. But the teams decided to use this day free from matches to get prepared for the final matches and have planned trainings.

Interesting and important matches for the 1st and 3d position according to the results of the group tournament will be held tomorrow in Group A, and the main event of the day will be the match between Russia and Sweden. The Scandinavians will get a solid reinforcement for this match as a big group of 35 their supporters will come to Irkutsk tomorrow in the morning. And there’s no doubt that Russian team will get a great support from Irkutsk fans.

The Tuesday game program included 6 matches of Group B, which took place at the “Zenit”, “Record” and “Stroitel” stadiums. We may say that the fight in the subgroups is really strong. There are 3 teams in Subgroup A as in Subgroup B with roughly equal chances to get the first place. It may happen that tomorrow It’ll be necessary to count the difference in the scored and conceded goals.

The central match in the strongest subgroup between Hungary and Estonia was very intense. The competitors leaded by turns, but the final whistle fixed the fighting draw — 4:4.

And the most polar team of Group B is undoubtedly Somalia team. Little by little the team gets experience and feels more confident on the ice field with every match. And Ahmed Mohammed, the goalkeeper of Somalia team, has got huge applause from the strands today. Three penalties were announced into his goals during two matches played by Somalia team, but their competitors haven’t managed to score: the goalkeeper has parried a blow from the “point” twice and by his confidence made the third player make a mistake by forwarding the ball over the goals.

The results of the matches played today:

Netherlands — Latvia — 3:10
Ukraine — Somalia — 13:0
Mongolia — Germany — 3:1
