Irkutsk World Championship begins accreditation of journalists

Working meeting of the organizing Directorate of the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship, which will take place in January-February of the coming year in Irkutsk, was held on the 16th of December. The meeting was led by Vladimir Matienko, the head of the Directorate, President of the Irkutsk region Bandy Federation.

The head of the city business department in Irkutsk, Aleksy Evladov, gave comments on the first question of the meeting dedicated to the placement of the World Championship billboards.

About thirty colorful banners are placed on the streets of Irkutsk at the moment, this number will be increased closer to the start of the Championship. In addition, you probably noticed the colorful posters. Video advertising will find its place. Videos will be shown on large screens placed in Irkutsk.

The question of the organization of trading areas for souvenirs and food sale at the stadiums is almost completely resolved. The firms that will be engaged in selling are chosen as well as the trade stalls places. Approved mobile trade groups will work during the matches and it’ll be possible to buy tea and coffee right in the stands.

Natalya Ivanova, the Deputy Head of the Physical Culture Department of Irkutsk Administration, told us about the accommodation of participants’ teams in the hotels. Teams of the Group A will be accommodated in Baikal-Hotel, teams of Group B — in Angara hotel. It was decided that the referees will stay in Victoria hotel and VIP guests will live in Courtyard by Marriott Irkutsk City Center Hotel. In addition a series of events will be held in Courtyard by Marriott Irkutsk City Center Hotel. The meeting of the head coaches and team leaders of the Russian Superleague, a solemn meeting of the Executive committee of the Russian Bandy Federation, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of RBF, and the Federation of International Bandy Congress will take place here during the World Championship.

Special attention was awarded a question of media accreditation at the world championships. Directorate approved rules of accreditation, which will be published on the official website of the World Cup. Also on site is accepting applications for accreditation, and it can be done today.

Accreditations will be issued to every journalist personally. This will take place in the press center, which will begin its work on January 23rd.
