Mass Media accreditation regulations for the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship in Irkutsk in 2014

Accreditation is required for all Mass Media representatives who want to take part in the coverage of the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship in Irkutsk in 2014.

The applications for Mass Media representatives’ accreditation are accepted from December 17, 2013 to January 24, 2014.

Accreditation is realized by filling up the accreditation application on the official website baikal-bandy.ru and their further approval by the Organizing committee of the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship in Irkutsk (Championship Organizing committee further in the text). The procedure of the accreditation is approved by the organizing Direction of the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship in Irkutsk on December 16, 2013.

Please note that the Championship Organizing committee reserves the right to approve or decline the Mass Media accreditation at its discretion.

The Mass Media accreditation procedure

Mass Media accreditation process is conducted in two stages

1 stage — Mass Media registration

Registration is the submission of the Mass Media request to the Championship Organizing committee in order to be able to fill in the accreditation form by the Mass Media representative as a single application for all Mass Media journalists. 

Please note that the cover letter is required when filling in the registration form. The cover letter with the journalists name and position for accreditation should be written on the Mass Media official letterhead with the organization stamp and director’s signature. Attachment should be not more than 3MB, in Doc, Jpeg, Png or Pdf format. The original of the letter should be passed to the Championship Organizing committee by the Mass Media representative in person in Irkutsk at the moment of receiving the Championship Mass Media badge.

After passing the stage of Mass Media registration and obtaining request approval from the Championship Organizing Committee, the login page address and the «Login / Password», which provides access to the Personal Account of Mass Media applicant, will be sent to each Mass Media to the e-mail address specified during the Registration process.

The Championship Organizing Committee reserves the right not to announce the reason for the Mass Media accreditation rejection.

2 stage — filling in the form for journalists in the Mass Media Personal Account

The Mass Media representative fills in the accreditation application for each journalist in the Personal Account. There’s a limit for the number of the representatives from each of the Media - not more than 3 persons (except for IGTRK and AIST).

After completing and checking all of the applications will be sent to the Organizing committee

Mass Media representatives are responsible for the correctness, completeness and accuracy of the provided information as this information will be further used unchanged in automatic documents drafting.

Russian Regional Mass Media that wants to get the accreditation for the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship should submit the accreditation application on the website baikal-bandy.ru beforehand.

The list of the persons responsible for the Mass Media accreditation in the regions of Russia

In accordance with the acquired accreditation the Mass Media representatives get access to the journalists working zones at the Championship competition objects, in the main press-center and other places. Photographers and some members of the Media will be provided with special vests in addition to the accreditation badges that give them access to photopositions on the competition grounds.

The procedure for the foreign and international Mass Media accreditation is similar to the Russian Mass Media accreditation

Important!
In case of a successful accreditation foreign and international Media journalists need to issue a journalist visa to enter the Russian Federation. Journalist visa issuing process is conducted in accordance with the Russian Federation legislation.

Foreign journalists who have the accreditation badge and a journalist visa get the right to cover fully the XXXIVth World Bandy Championship in Irkutsk and on the Championship objects out of Irkutsk city borders. Otherwise, foreign journalists have to obtain additional accreditation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in accordance with the Russian legislation. This accreditation is issued in accordance with established procedure published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Accreditation categories and zones of access

All participants of the accreditation who passed the approval procedure will be given appropriate categories and the rights of access to the different zones of the Championship based on the rules set by the International Federation of Sports.

Following subcategories are assigned to the Mass Media representatives on the WBC 2014 which the letters presented on the accreditation Badge correspond to:

Procedure of accreditation Badges obtaining

Personal presence in the Media accreditation Center is required in order to receive a Badge. Every Media representative must show the identity document (that very document data from which was used in the accreditation process). After the data checking the operator of the Media accreditation Center passes the Badge to the accredited person and receives the written confirmation of Badge receiving in the special register.

Media accreditation Center works from January 23, 2014.
Working time: 10:00–19:00 every day.

Procedure in case of Badge loss, theft, damage/break

In case of Badge loss or theft the Media representative should contact the Media accreditation Center and fill in the application accordingly. To reissue the Badge will cost 4500 rubles.

In case of a badge damage/break or any technical problems connected with its usage it’s necessary to contact the Media accreditation Center and fill in the application concerning reissuing of the badge.

It can take up to 24 hours to reissue the Badge in case of its loss. If your Badge is out of order its exchange is held in the Mass Media representative presence.

Accredited Mass Media representative responsibility during the Championship

Accredited Mass Media representative can be deprived of the accreditation in case of the rules of staying in the sport facility violations.

Personal security of the accredited Mass Media representative lies on him.
